In late August, a small female dolphin was born in the Tiputa area, just as our fundraising campaign was coming to an end. Like all the dolphins in her community, she will certainly grow up surrounded by boats and divers. In a few years, she may meet a child who has read Moana's story and who will know how to observe her without trying to touch her. That is precisely the goal of this project, and it is thanks to you that it is becoming possible.
We are pleased to announce the closing of the fundraising campaign launched on the Fondation Anāvai platform! Thanks to the generosity of each and every one of you, 218,259 XPF were raised. This amount was supplemented by a grant from the Direction de l’Environnement and a donation from the European Association for Aquatic Mammals. The project is now funded!

Where does the comic book stand?
- The illustrator Lou Bassani is working on the twenty pages, some of which are already finished.
- The translations into English, Spanish, and Reo Tahiti are ready: Moana will thus be able to reach all audiences on the atoll and its visitors.
- Next will come posters for schools and 500 stickers with QR codes intended for visitors to the atoll.
- The comic book will be released in early 2027.
